Statement from the Ohio Environmental Council on Today’s Ohio Senate Veto Override Votes

Tuesday, August 22, 2017

The following statement can be attributed in full or in part to Sarah Spence, Director of Government Affairs for the Ohio Environmental Council:

“Today, the Ohio Senate did the right thing by declining a vote to override Governor Kasich’s veto to protect state parks and other public lands from oil and gas development. It’s clear that the right thing to do is to table the issue and protect these critical public lands for future Ohioans.”
