Wildlife Management for American Kestrels

January 11, 2018 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Since their first successful nest in 1995, North America’s smallest falcons have fledged 1,102 young from as many as 18 nestboxes monitored and managed by Dick Tuttle and Dick Phillips in Delaware County. Tuttle will describe the community project’s beginning with a power point presentation that also explains preferred habitats and natural histories inside nestboxes. A live demonstration of two nestboxes will promote a series of options for conservationists wishing to help this beneficial bird of prey.
