Our Work

Columbus

The Ohio Environmental Council is the state's most comprehensive and respected environmental advocate for a healthier, greener, and more prosperous Ohio.

From the air we breathe and water we drink to the food we eat and natural resources we enjoy, our experts work daily to restore, protect, and strengthen the quality of life for our families and communities.

Through advocacy, legal action, and partnerships, we:

  • protect the health and well-being of Ohioans;
  • restore and maintain Ohio's natural beauty and resources;
  • promote the creation of clean energy and green jobs.

We do this with the help of our members & partner organizations, grantorscommunity supporters, and thousands of individual members and supporters.

From fighting the risks of fracking, to protecting our open spaces, to growing Ohio's green energy future, we work on issues that affect every area of our daily lives - our health, our air and water, and our communities.
