Businesses and governmental organizations are not eligible to become OEC members. Rather, these donors/funders are recognized as Community Supporters.

Community Supporters

Businesses and governmental organizations that are committed to environmental protection can support the Ohio Environmental Council by becoming Community Supporters. Their contributions are essential to the success of the OEC.

Community Supporters donate funds, sponsor events, and provide in-kind products and services to support the OEC.

In order to maintain a fiscually responsible balance of funding sources, no more than 15% of the OEC's operating budget shall come from Community Supporters, unless approved by the Board of Directors. The Board reserves the right to decline any gift that, in its judgement, is not in alliance with the OEC's mission or poses a real or potential conflict of interest.

Businesses and organizations donating more than $500 must meet the criteria listed on the OEC's Business Gift Acceptance Policy. In this instance, an OEC staff member will contact you or you may contact us at (614) 487-7506.
