Healthy Lives Kids' Art Contest
Let see a healthier, cleaner world though our children's eyes!
We encourage kids to draw, paint, craft, or create other artwork to express their ideas of a healthier, cleaner, and safer world.
The purpose of this art contest is to show our national leaders and lawmakers how our world could be safer for the next generation. Artwork will be hand-delivered to Senators on Capitol Hill in Washignton D.C. by the Safer Chemicals/Healthy Families Coalition.
- There are three age categories:
5 and under
6 to 12
13 to 18
- There will be one winner per category.
- Any art medium can be used, but must be no larger than 8.5 x 11 inches.
- Write artist name, age, contact info, and title of artwork on a separate piece of paper and include with entry.
- Winners will receive a non-toxic art supply kit.
- Winning artwork will be displayed on coalition websites.
- There is no fee to submit entries.
- There is no limit to number of entries.
- Open to all kids up to age 18 living in the United States.
- Original artwork will not be returned.
Ideas:
- What does a clean world look like to you?
- People, places, or things they want make and keep safe and healthy, such as animals in the forest, your favorite toy, or your new baby brother or sister.
- What do you do to stay healthy and safe?
- What needs to be cleaned in your neighborhood, town, or city?
- How can we clean the air that we breathe?
- Anything goes!
NOTE: Entries that include the idea of "clean air" will simultaneously be submitted to the Moms Clean Air Force's Kids Art Contest.
DEADLINE: Artwork must be received (not postmarked) by February 9, 2012.
