Keith Dimoff Executive Director

Keith Dimoff, Executive Director, is responsible for overall direction of the organization, performing the duties of the chief executive, and supervising the OEC's top managers. Working with the OEC's board of directors, Keith oversees the organization's financial health, program priorities, membership development, and public affairs.
Before being appointed executive director, he was the OEC's Deputy Director for five years. As the top aide to the chief executive, Keith supervised the work of the OEC's policy, public affairs, and outreach staff, and served as liaison to the board's strategic planning committee.
Prior to joining the OEC, Keith gained extensive experience as an officer with nonprofit community groups and spent five years at the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency, where he earned the statewide 1989 Employee of the Year Award.
He graduated with honors from the Ohio State University with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and a minor in the liberal arts. Keith serves on the Strategic Directions Committee of the State Environmental Leadership Program and is a board member of the national Clean Water Network, as well a graduate of the Great Lakes Executive Director Leadership Program.

David R. Celebrezze Director of Air & Water Special Projects
David Celebrezze shares his time with both the Air and Water teams at the OEC. He organizes meetings and works with local fleet managers on the OEC's diesel cleanup campaign. He also urges policy makers to adopt strong air-related policies that protect human health, climate, and the environment from dirty diesel and outdoor woodfired boilers. His focus in the Water Program is the Vernal Pool Conservation Program, which educates the public about the importance of protecting these important seasonal wetlands.
Prior to joining the OEC, David was part of a national mental health organization, coordinating over 130 centers throughout the United States. He has also served as a senatorial aide at the Ohio Statehouse. These experiences honed David's ability to organize several different groups towards a common goal. He has a B.A. in Sociology from the College of Wooster and is currently learning how to play the bagpipes.

Dawn Dixon Senior Director of Administration
Dawn is responsible for management of office administrative activities and administrative staff, coordination of special events, supervising the volunteer and intern program, managing printing requests, and handling membership renewals.

Jennifer Doron, M.F.A. Director of Marketing & Communications

Jennifer Doron is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to cultivate environmental awareness in Ohio while supporting the OEC's policy and program campaigns. She also manages the OEC's online and social media presence, and print and e-communications with OEC members and the public. She is an active member of the International Association of Business Communicators and the Nonprofit Technology Network (NTEN).
Jennifer holds B.A.'s in English and Philosophy from the University of California, Irvine, and a Masters in Creative Writing from Goddard College in Vermont.

Trent A. Dougherty, Esq. Director of Legal Affairs
Trent Dougherty is General Counsel and the chief legal analyst and advocate for OEC's Agriculture & Clean Water; Clean Air & Energy; and Legislative Affairs policy programs. He represents the OEC and its members before the Environmental Review Appeals Commission, Public Utilities Commission of Ohio, Ohio General Assembly, and Congress, and sits on many governmental and private sector advisory committees.
He has published and presented on many environmental law issues including citizen environmental enforcement laws, State and Federal Water Quality Laws, and the Public Trust Doctrine.
Trent also directs the OEC's William W. Ellis, Jr. Ohio Environmental Law Center, which provides legal education to tomorrow's environmental attorneys through its intern/externship program, and provides legal education materials and legal services to OEC members and the public.
Trent holds a B.A. in English from The Ohio State University, and a J.D. from Capital University Law School with a Concentration in Environmental Law.

Lisa Estrella Administrative Assistant

Lisa Estrella is reponsible for providing administrative support to various OEC initiatives as well as providing support to the OEC senior management team.
A Southern California native who relocated to Columbus in 2003, Lisa has extensive experience with both private and non-profit fine arts organizations.

Melanie Houston Director of Water Policy & Environmental Health
Melanie Houston is responsible for establishing, building, and managing statewide policy initiatives for the OEC related to water and environmental health. Melanie has a background in non profit administration and environmental social science research. She has served as a graduate student intern for the US Fish and Wildlife Service as well as Friends Group Coordinator and Interim Director for The Park People, Friends of Milwaukee County Parks. Most recently Melanie worked on commercial recycling, grant writing and administration, and project management for two downtown special improvement districts in Columbus.
Melanie graduated with honors from Denison University with a B.A. in Environmental Studies and a minor in Spanish. She received an M.S. from The Ohio State University, where she completed her master's thesis on trends in public attitudes toward wolves over time and across geographical regions.

Brian Kaiser Director of Green Jobs & Innovation, Legislative Affairs Associate
Brian Kaiser brings to the OEC a background in government and non-profit innovation, clean energy workforce development, and grant administration. Prior to joining the OEC, Brian served as a Community Development Analyst with the Ohio Department of Development where he was responsible for administering a $16.8 million federal grant portfolio. Brian also served as the Green Jobs Coordinator for Lucas County where he led efforts to develop and implement several innovative programs, including the Toledo-Lucas County Green Jobs Partnership, Live Green Save Green Lucas County, and the Toledo-Lucas County Sustainability Commission.
Brian holds a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Toledo. Brian is the former Vice President of the Lake Erie Western Alliance for Sustainability and an Advisor to the Ohio Apollo Alliance Steering Committee.

Kristen Kubitza Director of Water Policy & Outreach
Kristen Kubitza's work encompasses a variety of water resource issues with a primary focus on nutrient overload and the Great Lakes. Kristen is responsible for developing and managing statewide policy initiatives, monitoring and crafting legislation, participating in agency rulemaking, and increasing the visibility and understanding of water resource issues among both the general public and policy makers.
Kristen brings to the OEC a background in legislative affairs, public policy and community relations. Prior to joining the OEC, Kristen worked with a variety of public organizations, including United Way of Central Ohio, the Ohio House of Representatives, the Arizona State Senate, and the University of Arizona.
Kristen holds an Honors B.A. in Political Science from the University of Arizona and an M.P.A. in Public Policy & Management, with a concentration in Nonprofit Administration, from The Ohio State University. Kristen is a nature enthusiast and enjoys hiking, kayaking, and camping and has hiked the Grand Canyon rim-to-rim five times.

Trish Lanahan Director of Clean Energy Campaigns, Legislative Affairs Associate
As the Director of Clean Energy Campaigns, Trish Lanahan oversees energy efficiency policy and initiatives. She is also responsible for building relationships with business, political, and environmental leaders and stakeholders to promote clean air and energy campaigns. Trish's most recent position was legislative liaison in the Director's Office at the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
Trish is a graduate of Wittenberg University and has been active in the grassroots not-for-profit arena since graduating college.

Rae Liebtag Administrative Associate

Rae provides administrative support to the development and marketing departments of the OEC, and also works on financials for the organization. Outside of the OEC, Rae is actively involved with arts groups and community gardens in Columbus.

Joe Logan Director of Agricultural Programs
Joe Logan, served as the director of governmental affairs for the Ohio Farmers Union from 2006 until joining the OEC in fall 2008. Prior to taking that position at Ohio Farmers Union, he served as that organization’s president from 2002-2006. He also served on the board of directors of the National Farmers Union during that same interval, where he chaired the Finance Committee.
Currently, he serves as the co-chair of the board of directors of the Coalition for a Prosperous America, and is the past president and current board member of the Ohio Conference on Fair Trade. He has served as the president of the National Association of Farmer Elected Committees, where he represented locally elected administrators of Federal Agricultural Programs. He has served as a member of the board of directors of the Dairy Farmers of America, the nation's largest dairy cooperative, and vice chair of its predecessor Milk Marketing, Inc.

Cathryn N. Loucas, Esq. Staff Attorney
As Staff Attorney, Cathryn Loucas is responsible for OEC's clean water litigation, as well as related legislative and policy work. She will also focus on energy efficiency and renewable energy, including representing the OEC in cases before the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio. Previously, Cathryn was Chief Legal Counsel and Deputy Director for Resource Conservation for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. In addition to serving as Chief Legal Counsel, she also served as the Department's Wind Policy Coordinator, assisting in creating and implementing a plan to promote environmentally sound wind energy development in Ohio. Cathryn also has extensive experience in private practice with an emphasis in complex litigation.
Cathryn received her B.A. in International Studies from West Virginia University and her J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law.

Grant Maki, J.D. Law Fellow
As Law Fellow, Grant Maki participates in the OEC's litigation, policy development, and lobbying efforts. Particular areas of focus include litigation before the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio and directing the OEC's legal response to water issues such as aquatic invasive species and nutrient overload.
Grant received his B.S. in Philosophy from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota. He earned his J.D. from the University of Chicago law school, where he was a staff member on the Chicago Legal Forum.

Kristy Meyer, M.S. Director of Agricultural & Clean Water Programs
Kristy Meyer has more than eight years in campaign organizing. She joined the OEC in 2005 and since has worked on such issues as the federal and state budget; ending the overuse and misuse of antibiotics in animal agriculture; access to local foods; abandoned mine lands; Clean Water Act rules; and a whole suite of issues impacting the Great Lakes/Lake Erie.
Kristy utilizes her expertise and knowledge of successful campaign organizing to direct the OEC's Agricultural & Clean Water Program.
Kristy has a B.S. in Environmental Biology and Business Administration from Heidelberg University in Tiffin, Ohio. She earned a M.S. from James Cook University in Queensland, Australia, where she worked with Aboriginals on Natural Resource Management Issues and formed a "Greening Strategy," for all of Northern Australia, including Papua New Guinea.

Nolan Moser, J.D. Staff Attorney, Director of Energy & Clean Air Programs
Nolan provides management and strategic leadership of all Energy & Clean Air Program work, funding, resource allocation and planning. Nolan also directs the OEC's energy-related litigation efforts at the Public Utilities Commission and beyond; coordinating the activities of the OEC staff attorneys and outside counsel focused on energy.
Nolan acts as the OEC's representative on a variety of boards and appointed positions, and is responsible for the development of OEC policies and positions on energy and climate change.
Nolan began his tenure with the OEC as a legal intern during law school and is a licensed attorney in both Ohio and Michigan. He has authored several published articles on environmental litigation and regulation, energy law, and international law. Nolan received B.A. degrees in Political Science and History from Austin College in Texas and his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University.

Raenell Nagel, J.D. Senior Director of Policy & Strategic Planning
As the leader of strategic planning for the OEC, Raenell Nagel directs both the Energy & Clean Air and Agriculture & Clean Water policy programs. She also manages the OEC's Ohio Environmental Law Center and acts as the liaison with the Board Strategic Planning Committee.
Prior to joining the OEC, Raenell worked with a variety of non-profit organizations and government agencies, including COSI in Columbus, Ohio, the Agricultural Conservation Innovation Center, the Massachusetts Department of Food and Agriculture, and Public Citizen's Congress Watch. She has also worked in higher education at Baruch College/CUNY in New York City and at American University in Washington, DC.
Raenell holds B.A. degrees in Political Science and Justice, Law & Society from American University, a J.D. with a concentration in environmental law from Boston University, and a M.F.A. in Film and Electronic Media with a specialization in film theory and social documentary film from American University.

Jodi Segal Senior Director of Advancement
A native of Pickerington, Ohio, Jodi Segal has been politically and socially aware since an early age. After majoring in cultural diversity at Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio, she went on to a career in social change advocacy and fundraising for environmental-conservation organizations including MASSPIRG in Boston and CALPIRG in Santa Barbara. Jodi works directly with the OEC's Executive Director to create and implement strategies for expansion of the OEC's membership base including planned giving, the Green Giving Club, corporate donations, group memberships, fundraising events, and member relations.

Jack Shaner Deputy Director, Senior Director of Legislative& Public Affairs

As Deputy Director and Senior Director of Legislative & Public Affairs, Jack Shaner brings more than 25 years of experience in public interest advocacy and legislative service to Ohio’s environmental-conservation community. Beginning his fifteenth year as the director of the OEC's legislative program and earned media efforts, Jack is well recognized in Statehouse corridors in Columbus and in newsrooms across the state as the premier environmental policy advocate at Capitol Square.
Before joining the OEC, Jack served as policy director for the Ohio Senate Democratic Caucus and staffed the caucus’ members on the Energy, Natural Resources, and Environment Committee. A native Buckeye, Jack is a graduate of the Ohio State University and the Environmental Leadership Institute.

Dena Sico Associate Director of Development

Dena Sico's primary responsibilities focus on developing relationships with current and future OEC members and donors, and coordinating OEC events, such as the Green Gala. Dena has been active within the non-profit arena for most of her life. She began volunteering at a young age and has worked in development for non-profit organizations throughout her professional career. Dena has worked for The Ohio State University Annual Giving Campaigns; she has served as an AmeriCorps Vista for Habitat for Humanity; and was the Interim Development Director for New Directions Career Center. Most recently she served as the Regional Development Manager for The National Kidney Foundation. Dena spends much of her free time enjoying the outdoors and feels fortunate to have the opportunity to work towards keeping Ohio's land, air, and water healthy.
